Governor’s Island as seen from Dream Bridge.

On vintage postcards this view of the western side of Lake Ridge is referred to as “Neptune’s Garden” or “The Garden of the Gods.”

Cottages along “The Trail” were built at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Bridge across the South Fork of the Miami River connecting Lake Ridge with the mainland.

Cottages on the south side of OH 366 just east of the Spillway.

Looking west across the Spillway towards Russells Point.

Looking east across the Spillway and bridge. Note the unprecedented aquatic vegetation growth that has impacted boating on Indian Lake.

This cabin at Whispering Valley Motor Home Court is the only one remaining after the Bulkhead Hotel was demolished in the 1980s.

East side of Artist’s Isle. Again note the aquatic vegetation in the foreground of the photograph.

Entrance road and west side of Artist’s Isle.

Many of the cottages on Artist’s Isle retain their original integrity, and the original log-cabin structure remains recognizable despite the additions made to increase floor area and living space.

Russells Point Harbor.

White Cottage Landing (Prater’s Landing) was west of White Cottage Park on Wilgus Drive. Silver Isle Beach was a popular swimming beach but has since been connected to the mainland and developed with luxury homes.

Looking east from Paradise Island towards Bellefontaine Island and Silver Isle Beach.

Sassafras Point.

Sassafras Point on the north side of Indian Lake is one of the few spots that has retained its original integrity dating back to the days of the Newland Resort.
