Views of the waste weir, looking east toward Cottonwood Grove and west toward Russells Point. The unpaved road later became U.S. 33 and what is now State Highway 366. The covered bridge was washed away during one of the flood events in the early twentieth century and replaced with a cement bridge. These postcards date from before June 24, 1907, when the waste weir gave way and the water poured out of a breach thirty feet wide.
