Wedge Landing and Resort

Looking east from the Wedge on a postcard dated 1913. In the distance, on the south side of the road, is the Hotel Bulkhead or National Hotel.
The Wedge Landing and Resort was a little farther west of the spillway and offered boat rental and cottages for rent.

The Wedge cottages were located on the south side of what is now OH 366, where the laundromat is now. At that time, the road used to run along the shore. Some of the cottages were relocated to elsewhere in Russells Point and can still be viewed.

Family snapshots taken in 1926 during a vacation at the Wedge. Note how formally dressed the adults were, even when fishing from the pier.
